Is having an experienced programmer around any more beneficial than posting on a forum? If so, I''d like a little help -J

I would say that you are better posting your questions in forums. This forum is a great start, although there are some that will be slightly less helpful, although the moderators are good at watching them. When you post in forums you have the collective knowledge of many programmers, and as you learn more your questions will become more structured and well aimed. Having a single programmer guide you means you gain what knowledge they have, and if that knowledge is flawed you will pick it up. Ask your questions in this forum and you will be on the right track.. also, being that most people will point you there .. go here Begin

Its helpful! Good luck
