Hi Folks, i am in need of some ideas about transparency. I have two identical images, a hiden colored and a covering black and white (drawn over the colored image). No i must be able to set some of the texels of the black and white image to transparent. (in realtime) The only idea i have is to manipulate the alpha values of the transparent pixels and recreate the texture before it gets drawn. But i doubt that i can do this in realtime... Maybe ther''s an other, better way to dynamically set some texels to transparent without creating the whole texture again. Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thank''s in advance...

Try using a separate alpha map.

Death of one is a tragedy, death of a million is just a statistic.
If at first you don't succeed, redefine success.
