Does anybody out there remember back when they were a newbie, and remember what books/tutorials/boards/chatrooms where most usefull in helping them learn the C/C++ language? Any info would be most appreciated

while, im not necessarily a newbie....ok im a newbie, this site is the most helfpul site ive found in my 6 years of using the net, when i started programming in the mid 1980''s, the manuals that came with the computers were pretty helpful too, but nowadays, the manuals are starting to look like greek to me....
