Object Oriented Programming in C++ by Robert Lafore
In OOP Programing in C++ by Robert Lafore, there''s a program that requires something called or something like that for graphics lite programming. Anyone know about this? I for one cannot get it to work!

I do not know the book you are talking about, so I hesitated to post a reply. But since it seems that you don''t get a direct answer, maybe this helps:
Try posting the name of the questionable component / library / whatever as exact as you can. I assume this gives you a better chance to get an answer, since someone could recognize the name and point you to the right direction.
I will take a look to this thread later, and if you have posted more information, I will try to help if I can

Ok more info. It''s from the branch of SAMS publishing called the Waite''s Group. The header I''m talking about is in Console Graphics Lite. The exact header is MSOFTCON.H. (In angle brackets).

I have a copy of Lafore''s "OOP in Turbo C++" from 1991! I''m afraid that''s somewhat out of date and the book didn''t even come with a floppy disk. I thought his C book was better. Sorry I can''t help much.

I have searched MSDN for ''MSOFTCON'' with no result. The name also does not tell me anything, I''m affraid.
Then I used google, and came upon this site. At a first glance it seems to be closely related to what you need. Have a look. Good luck

i have this book. i love this book. good for beginners if you ask me.
anyway, the file you''re looking for should be on your hard drive somewhere. i had trouble finding it at first but if you look on your hd, it should be there.
do a search of your entire hard drive...
also, look in the very back of the book. one of the appendix''s in the back should tell how to get your program working with the mslite (i don''t remember the name of the program) library.
hope this helps. if i were at home, i''d be able to give you exact info or send the file to you.
let me know if you need anything else.
