3D Studio Max Animation Help...
Ok. Is it possible to turn off the interpolation for keyframes? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I''m a programmer not an artist. Basically I want to make a bunch of static frames that don''t get interpolated between. For example, say I make an object in frame 0. Then, at frame 1 I move it somewhat. Then I go to frame 2 and move it where I want it and rotate it. Now instead of having 3 static frames, The frame 1 gets messed up because it''s trying to interpolate between frame 0 and 2. Does this make sense? Maybe someone can help? Thanks.

I don''t know if you can turn interpolation off completely, but you can tweak interpolation types and parameters in track view.
open up the trackview in MAX (from the menu, Graph Editors, Track View, Open Track View) On the upper left hand corner is a button that looks like a triangle, circle and square, click that to set your display preferences. In the menu that pops up, on the top right is a section that says "show only" check "animated tracks" and "Selected objects" and hit OK. with the track view still open, select your object in the main Viewport. In the track view you should see your objects'' transforms. Click the plus signs to expand the tracks. You should be able to see the keyframes of your object. Right click them and another window will pop up where you can change the interpolation. Change both "In" and "out" curves to the one that looks like steps.
As far as i know, you will have to change each individual keyframe. If you want a faster way to do it you can go to http://www.comet-cartoons.com/toons/index.cfm and download the keymanager script.
