Anyone literare please read this =P
Hey! Anyone who CAN read, that is, most of you guys hanging around this site, I suggest that you read this post because I have a little question:
Is it worth making a game, D3D, OGL AND GLIDE compatible?
I''ve heard that Nvidia is going to add drivers which allows their cards to support GLIDE. So, if anyone with a GeForce of any kind (for instance) will be able to take advantage of the power of GLIDE, then maybe making GLIDE supporting games isn''t such a bad idea after all.
What do you guys say?

personaly I would pick D3D & OpenGL and stay the hell away from glide... about nVidia&glide.. isn''t it the other way around? nVidia is going to add glide compatibility so you can play old glide based games on their cards. nothing more.

glide is all powerful only on cards that nativly support it. ie only 3dfx based cards. emulators for other cards ussually map the glide commands to d3d or opengl. nvidia may make a more native driver, but i highly doubt. btw 3dfx implemented opengl using glde. i would only support opengl and d3d. supporting glide for nvidia cards is like drinking cold medicine instead of vodka. you will eventually get where you want, but its not the same nor as fast.
