I compiled lesson6 for Linux and it compiled fine, no errors or warnings. But when I went to run it it gave me this error. GLUT: Fatal Error in lesson6: OpenGL GLX extension not supported by display: :0.0 I have the latest drivers. I dont understand why this wont work. I am using Mandrake 8.2 on KDE 3. Dose any one have any ideas? Thanks Nuke

Do you have the line Load "glx" in the modules section of your XF86Config file?

Do any opengl programs work? (Mandrake comes with a few opengl games. Try them)
Some games do work. But others (like the ones starting with mesa) dont. So I do think there is something wrong with my config file. I did try to fix the config file but for some reason the module section wasnt in the XF86Config file. It was in XF86Config-4. So I put it in then rebooted. When i started up I was in pure linux console. I took it out with vi and now im back to the way I was.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Nuke

What graphics card do you have? Which games worked, and which didn''t?
I have a NVidia card and mesa gears didnt and minesweeper did.

I was just talking to someone last night on irc and they told me that the problem was in the XF86Config file. He said that I should rebuild my XF86Config file with xf86config.
