Learning C++
Well the good news about me is I have some background on it but the question is my book too old? The book is about 3 years old but I have had no probs with making the examples in it. The compiler I am using is DevC++ 4. Of course its freeware if newer people want to know. I also if needed could put up some code that I used to make a simple console application. Well just tell me if you think my book is too old. Thanks.
I thought that the ANSI-C++ has changed in 1999 or something..
I don''t now exactly but I thougt they then added things like templates..
Correct me if I''m wrong I''m also still learning..

a book that old is probably wrong in several places. I heard Accellerated C++ is a good place to start. I myself started with The C++ Programming Language by Bjarne Stroustrup but I already knew java and a little C, though you shiould get it sooner or later.
Well my book was copywrited in 1999. Have there been any more changes since then?
C++ was standardized in 1998. Your book should generally be okay.
It''s not a big deal since most of the literature out there teaches C++ the wrong way anyway. Beware of tutorials!

Thanks to Kylotan for the idea!
