Creating 3d worlds like lesson 10
which program would be best to create the 3d world, i used to use 3d studio max.
I use that program too and it works perfectly for me. The issue i would consider (but thats becauz I''m not experimented with openGL) would be the export format that would be easier to load in my program. I think the milkshape software, which is free, export to a simple format.
In two words, 3D studio is quite good but maybe will you have dificulties exporting it.

yea, i just want some thing easy that would export the vertiles and the u & v of a texture which is applied.
3DS MAX has export to .ASE -> very simple text format where you can tell what to extport (vertices, texture coordinats, normals..)

We are here talking about OpenGL and u/v are for D3D. you may wanna use s/t instead

U/V coordinates have been around long before D3D was even a twinkle in Microsoft''s eye. U/V is a pretty standard notation for texture coordinates.
All in all though, it doenst really matter what you call them. E/F would work just fine, but nobody would prolly know what your talking about. =)
