Point taken about total addicts, and the usefulness of some client for them (Why would they need to be notified if they''re there already)! =D Just that there are more of em than you might think! =D You might find that people dont go to YOUR MUD and just live there for a number of reasons, mostly I think if thats the case, it involves being text in the 21st century. I''m not saying text games are bad, just that they''re far less popular now that there are nifty things out like EQ, UO, AC, AO, etc.

BTW that is in fact pretty cool that you run a MUD, do you even program for it yourself? Did you write it?

Yeah, I know some people play Everquest for 40 hours straight and so on. I probably would, if I had the computer for that sort of thing (oh, and the tolerance for that sort of game).

I run one mud (used to run another, but retired from that one), play on another, and have coded a 3rd entirely from scratch. Which is considered quite amazing in the MUD community, which is used to reusing the same old barely-modified code from 1992
