I''m interested in making an engine that is very portable and dynamic. I want it to be functional on any OS, C/C++ compiler, and devices (3d cards, sound cards, input). Can anyone recommend some good books about the topic of portability and dynanicism (made that word up)?

I don''t have any title in my mind right now, but you should look for books on Object Oriented Programming and Design.
All I can say is, STAY AWAY FROM LAMOTHE BOOKS,

if you are looking for portability and dynamicism of course.

I saw a man pursuing the horizon;
Round and round they sped. I was disturbed at this; I accosted the man.
"It is futile," I said, You can never -- "

"You lie," he cried, And ran on.

This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My signature is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My signature, without me, is useless. Without my signature, I am useless.
