Hi, I have just released an IT player library called DUMB. It also supports S3M in theory, but that hasn''t been tested much, and also we just found an S3M file that it doesn''t work for. Nevertheless, for IT files, DUMB really goes all the way. Almost. The licence basically states that it''s free but you must credit it and say where it can be obtained. I hope no one objects to having the word "DUMB" in their credits :D Here is the statutory feature list: - Supports playback of IT and S3M files - Very faithful to Impulse Tracker; if it plays your IT file wrong, please tell me! (Bear in mind that a few features aren''t implemented yet though) - Very accurate timing and pitching; completely deterministic playback - Facility to embed music files in other files - Five resampling quality settings, from aliasing to cubic with low-pass - Number of samples playing at once can be limited to reduce processor usage, but samples will come back in when other louder ones stop - All notes will be present and correct even if you start a piece of music in the middle - Highly portable and versatile - Can be used with Allegro, can be used without The downloads are available at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=31756. If you''re on DOS or Windows, please get dumb.zip. If you''re on Unix, please get dumb.tar.gz. The only difference is between DOS and Unix text format though. I am aware the library can be a bit daunting for people without Allegro. If anyone would like to write an extra output module for DirectSound, SDL or whatever, please let me know. Also I''d appreciate any bug reports. Enjoy
I''ve been looking for something that can play Impulse Tracker files. Thanks
