How to join InformIT

I went to Informit to read a chapter on file reading and writing and it said you have to log in. I went back to the main page and clicked on the link that said "Join InformIT its free" and when I clicked on it a balnk screen came up. I am using Netscape 4.5. Anybody know whats wrong?
