I use to draw and I mean sketch books with me at all times when I say draw. I took the course in school and lost all intrest in it. I dont draw that much any more but would it take long for my skills to mature again. and would books help me. Its a trip I see buildings and court yards and visualize action taking place. land minds, people armed with weapons, over cast skies, thunder skies, and how that would effect the structures, i mean this is a daily occurance. I see simple person and see a whole character and I have no way to bring that vision to life... or not to the standards I see... although sometimes that vision is rather blury...
Only DRAW, DRAW and DRAW. Find a appointed book is not easy, and good artist never used a book.

Look up "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" - it focuses on cognitive methods of "unleashing" the power to draw. Very very good book I''ve seen many people who started drawing stick figures turn into very talented artists just by reading the book. Even if you can already draw, some of the information in there is very interesting!

Any of the "Dynamic" books would be a good buy. There''s Dynamic Hands, Dynamic Anatomy, Dynamic Cloth, etc. ALL of these books present a good method for perfecting your drawing skills.
