Sorry bout posting this here guys but I couldn''t find any where else. Anyway, I''ve been going crazy trying to figure out how to cut shapes out of objects. Say a plane created in 3ds max, how would I cut out a circle or a rectangle. I''ve tried editing the mesh but it does not give satisfactory results. Is there any way I could subtract something from the whole object like placing a cylinder in the plane would cut out a circular shape? I hope someone can answer me. Thanks.

hi,

i hope i undertstand you right....
to cut one part of another, use the "boolean" button. it´s positioned on the first column, dropdownmenu, 4th or 5th item.
and take a look on your operants a-b b-a etc.
btw. your shapes have to be solid.

greetings
