Price of a 3D Character.
Hi,
I am thinking about developping a Game and I was wondering
about the price asked by artists for a character made with
3DS Max for instance. Does anybody has an idea about it ?
And with animation such as walking, running and jumping ?
Thanks a lot.

Well, it obviously depends on the complexity of the model and the ability of the artist, but quite nice looking models can be had for as little as $US150 (textures are often charged extra, as are animations).
Thank you for your answer.
And how does cost the textures and the animation ?

Check out www.3dcafe.com and www.turbosquid.com. But remember when you buy from these type places it is a non-exclusive agreement. Others may have the same model. Expect to pay much more to get someone to do high quality exclusive art.

Gamasutra also has an Exchange, where you can purchase all manner of game assets (3D characters, motion-capture data, textures, animations, sound effects, etc.).
