textured ASE objects
Hi there,
I''m a 3d programmer trying to get into modelling 3d objects with 3d studio max 4.0. I need a number of objects (saved as ASE files) for my 3d game project and I''m puzzled about how to apply 1 texturemap to a 3d model. I''ve seen an example of 1 3d object consisting of 380 polygons and it only used 1 texturemap to texture the entire 3d object. I know this has to do with mapping 3d vertices onto the 2d texturemap but I don''t know how. I need a few examples. Do any of you guys know where I can find resources on the internet?

I run with the same problems. (I use ASE for my project).
Solution?.
*MESH_MTLID (in Mesh_Facelist). Take note that if you apply a material to a simple box, then mesh_mtlid give some strange values, but if you convert this to editable mesh, then apply the material, then give a correct value.
