Tutorial Help with WinXP
Hi, I recently switched to Windows XP and found that the tutorials run extremely slow and laggy. When I ran them in Windows 98 they worked fine.
I''m wondering if there is a driver or something I need to install?
You need to download and install the newest drivers for your video card.
ReactOS - an Open-source operating system compatible with Windows NT apps and drivers
WinXP drivers are currently very slow. It always happen when Microsoft releases a new OS.
You have to wait a little (a few months) before better drivers are released.

I do higher fps in XP than in win2k and win9x, I have since the day it was released. XP works fine with win2k drivers, and those have been out for years for most hardware.

I''m going to take a wild guess - is this with an ATI Radeon card of some kind? I have a Radeon All-In-Wonder, now demoted to a secondary machine, and I''ve found that ATI''s XP drivers totally suck. Half-Life runs like a slide show (no joke, single digit fps sometimes).
