Hi, I recently switched to Windows XP and found that the tutorials run extremely slow and laggy. When I ran them in Windows 98 they worked fine. I''m wondering if there is a driver or something I need to install?
You need to download and install the newest drivers for your video card.

WinXP drivers are currently very slow. It always happen when Microsoft releases a new OS.
You have to wait a little (a few months) before better drivers are released.

I do higher fps in XP than in win2k and win9x, I have since the day it was released. XP works fine with win2k drivers, and those have been out for years for most hardware.

what graphics card do you have?
I''m going to take a wild guess - is this with an ATI Radeon card of some kind? I have a Radeon All-In-Wonder, now demoted to a secondary machine, and I''ve found that ATI''s XP drivers totally suck. Half-Life runs like a slide show (no joke, single digit fps sometimes).

I have an nvidia TNT2 video card.

I downloaded the new driver and things seems to have improved. The 1st time I run any openGL app it is slower than snails but anytime I run it after that it does fine.
