Is Delphi good? Where can I get a good compiler/ tutorial?
Don't ask me for help!
My copy of Delphi4 is a bit unstable (1), but I heard they improved in the later versions. The language is an OO extension of pascal, based on visual components(2). This rather simplifies windows programming, for which I''d rate Delphi as ''good enough'' (3) for applications programming. I''m sure you can buy (4) a copy on Borland''s website.

(1) Delphi4 was notorious for that.
(2) I''d say, rather like VB except not the same language and except I know precious little about VB.
(3) But then, I''ve never been a bit fan of that straightjacket of a language that is pascal.
(4) Yep, buy, it''s not free.

Delphi is a excelent tool for (fast) application programming, In my oppinion far superior to VB.
And the personal edition is free, I'm not sure of it's limitations but I guess it's stuff like not being allowed to sell anything you make with it and such.
You can find it Here
