I am wondering how long it took all of you to learn collision detection and does it relate in time to your first program. I don''t think i am a bad programmer but video games include so many different aspects, so I wanted to know how many people out here have a good handle on collision detection; and mainly how many classes are you using?????? Who were you expecting maybe SATAN!!!
WHO DID YOU EXPECT...?MAYBE SATIN!!!

Dylan your an ass. He didn''t ask how to do it he asked how long it took for most people to learn and to use.

Onto my answer it took me a good 6 months to fully understand it after i started recearching it.
A man walks into a bar.....ouch!?! Ya get it, do ya huh huh well....awww I give up.
about a minute for point-triangle(mesh) and bout an hour for elipsoid-mesh collision.. about the same time for collision response
