Where to find more info about pre-rendered 3D?
Hi there?
I''m interrested in pre-rendered 3D. Thus not normal ray-tracing, but rendering all shadows etc in a 3D-world so you can skip a lot of real-time steps that are involved with drawing all non-moving things in your world.... I think that would save a lot of speed an make a 3D-world much more beautiful. Does something like I''m saying exist (I think the Myst:Exile engine does such things), and where can I find more info?
Thanks!!!

One little correction to my question : of course you''d use normal ray-tracing, but just meant to say : not like the most raytracers that just make a 2D-picture...
