"There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what

the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be

replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened."

If you invent a time machine and travel back and forward through time, what would happen if you travelled to the time when the Universe doesn't exist anymore?

The futre is created as we live the present.

and isnt there the theory that after the size of the universe reaches the limit where gravity of all the entities in the universe can no longer support it, the univers would decrease in size (like a baloon losing its air)???
Basically, that's the theory of the Big Crunch. It's a lot more complicated than that though (curvature of space, amount of energy in universe, etc) Can't remember whether Big Crunch relies on elliptic or hyperbolic space though.

Also, the very theory that grants the idea of time travel dismisses notions of cause and effect

Ugh! Don't get me started on SST
