Hi there, I''m starting out in OpenGL. Everything is going fine at work when compiling on NT with a basic display adapter. However, I try running lesson 1 at home and it doesn''t give me a handle when going through: if (!(hWnd=CreateWindowEx(...... I''ve updated the OpenGL drivers from ATI site and they are correctly installed. Any suggestions? The great thing about standards is that there''''s so many to choose from !!

i think that would be a windows problem not your v-card.
that would be why the error occurs when you try to create the window.
I don''t know the answer to your problem but i can tell you you were looking in the wrong place.( I THINK )

What OS are you using?

If it''s 95/98 - go to www.glsetup.com maybe
I''m really getting stuck at a CreateWindowEx call...
and I am using XP... it''s not returning a handle!

I''m running XP and VC++ 6 quite happily.

Make sure you have used windows update to get your system up to date. If this doesn''t help try reinstalling VC once XP has been fully updated.
