i would just like to say as a newbie stop refering all newbies to some "newbie site" that DOES NOT have the same resources available like this site does. which is why all newbies come here.

I think that was more of a tantrum than a rebuttal.

I don''t want newbies to go to some other site. We''ve put considerable effort into providing resources for newbies right here. Newbies should feel free to post questions on the board, too, provided one thing: They first take some time to look at the many articles we have for beginners. The "Start here" link on any of the non-forum pages lists most of the articles, and there are a bunch of them in the Industry reference section as well. And anyone, not just newbies, should take a minute to look through some existing thread topics to see if maybe their question has already been answered (for the newbie-type questions- chances are, it has).

I just get tired of seeing the same questions over and over, especially when the answers to the questions can be found in abundance. I''d better stop or I''m going to start ranting, and I don''t want that. I want newbies to feel welcome here, and would appreciate it if people would try to point beginners to the appropriate articles before pulling out the flamethrowers.
