About:
God Vain is a third-person tactical hack-and-slash following the archangel Michael’s descent to a hellish Earth. When God's judgment wanes, Michael descends into the wicked city of Abastia to confront the unanswered evils churning within. Michael possesses a sinister power known as gore weaving. With this ability the angel transforms corpses of slain enemies into tools to further fuel his righteous carnage. This project is still in the concept/pre-production phase, and I’m assembling a small team to bring this vision to fruition.
Responsibilities:
-Program core mechanics and various other gameplay systems e.g. player mechanics, NPC AI, enemy AI, implement animations and effects, UI elements, UX elements
-Collaborate with other team members and maintain healthy communication
-Optimize code
-Address and or communicate gameplay bugs, technical issues etc.
-Consult and provide feedback with other team members
-Integrate game assets such as 3D models, sound effects, animations, etc.
Recommended Qualifications:
-A proficiency in at least one programming language
-Familiarity with Godot Engine
-Experience with at least one game engine
-A basic-to-proficient understanding of GDScript, C#, or C++
-An understanding of the game development pipeline
-Having experience working on games whether solo-developing or in a team (preferred, but not required)
