Hello, I am a student working on a degree in Game Development (a few months from first year of schooling so a noob lol. But have done some minor modding in Skyrim) and for all those in the industry or even just trying to start. What kind of advice would you give to someone like me who is still learning and not yet doing any work. Look forward to any advice or questions you might have!

None

As you moved onto a path towards “make games for life”, I'd say work on that !

School will tell you a few things, but there is so much more! Try and learn all. Obviously, there is too much to try and learn in a lifetime, but at least try a lot. Some of it will not match with your interests, while other parts feel like fun to do. Explore it all !

Also, don't just learn, also try it. Program a game, make matching music, paint pixels for awesome graphics. Finish a game. Publish it.

My first piece of advice is “ask better questions.” We don't know what kind of advice you are looking for. You want to obtain a career in games, is that it? And you want advice on getting a job after graduation? If that's the kind of advice you want, you should say so explicitly. If that's not what you're looking for, tell us along with your question..

My second piece of advice is “work hard and diligently at getting your degree, and making a good impression on your fellow students and professors.”

btw, “inquisitive” has only one E, and no As. Spellcheckers can help not give a bad impression of yourself online.
