Looking for experienced programmer to join ongoing game project. The game is kind of a hybrid between a card game and a RPG. So in the beginning you create a character like in any other RPG but the game play is through cards. There are three decks, encounter, explore and loot; in encounter deck there are creatures which are fought on tactical square grid. If victorious, player gets gold and experience points and also items from loot deck. Explore deck is for all the rest of the cards, spells, skills, locations etc.

There is a 3D turn-based combat in a square grid. Combat is inspired by XCOM so it is having features like cover and overwatch etc. Also D&D and some board games like Gloomhaven are a big inspiration. We are using mostly ready made assets from Asset Store (like "heroic fantasy creatures" -packs), but we have also some custom 3D models.

So looking for someone who is really into these kind of games. Ideal person is someone who has a lot of programming experience with Unity and C# and available at least 5-6 hours per week. There are already few programmers in the team, but looking for someone to take up kind of a leadership role and also manage the Git.

If interested send me a PM telling a little bit about yourself, how much you could work/week and what would you expect in return.

What is your role in that team?

Designer, Project Manager, Funder, HR & some graphics design.

Sounds like a critical combo

Well anyone who has tried to make a bigger project happen with very limited resources knows that you have to wear many hats. And one could argue that some of these roles are just "idea guy" roles, but someone has to active in those roles to push the project onwards. And quite often pass the torch to new people as especially in indie projects people easily lose interest and move on to other projects.
