InnoGames, Germany’s leading developer and publisher of mobile and online games, plans to expand its continued strategic and sustainable growth with the acquisition of mobile games. InnoGames existing portfolio of seven live games and several titles in production shall be enriched by free-to-play mobile games in the genres of strategy and simulation. The first step in this direction has been made with the acquisition of the turn-based strategy title Warlords of Aternum from Wooga in 2017. InnoGames relaunched the title successfully by leveraging the company’s core strengths in live ops and marketing.
“After investing massively into game features and content updates, we are currently scaling Warlords of Aternum worldwide,” explains Armin Busen, Chief Product Officer at InnoGames. “Based on this successful integration, we decided to expand on the strategy.”
InnoGames is looking for simulation and strategy games with good retention and monetization performance indicators. The company’s strength comes from the interplay of all departments in-house and thus InnoGames is not only looking for great games but also to welcome the teams behind them in its Hamburg-based office.
Developers of free-to-play mobile games within the strategy and simulation genre running on Unity are welcome to reach out to InnoGames. InnoGames will be attending GDC March 18 – 22 in San Francisco. Game pitches and requests for meetings can be sent to gamepitches@innogames.com.
