This is very important. This applies to books, videos, or any resources... I've known people that read programming books from front to back as if it was a story novel... Then they wonder why none of the concepts carried over with them. It's extremely important to learn a concept then take that concept and code, code, and code... You'll grow way faster by coding hours, not reading hours assuming you understand the general concept taught and you're not mindlessly coding away without a clue.
