Be aware of the timezone differences and language capability, though.
For example, if you're in GMT-5 timezone, you might not want to hire someone like me who lives in GMT+7 timezone. Also I might not be able to 100% accurately explaining something to you (as you can see, I'm not native English speaker).
I used to work with colleauges with 12 hour differences in our timezone before. We are kinda limitted to email-only communication, at it is expected to wait at least a day for responses. Virtual meeting/conference call can be a pain, as someone have to wake up early while another has to stay very late.
