do a tree.
it will teach you alot, but you will need to use a paint prog for skins be sure to use lighting and a ground plain oh and some fog it adds alot and is fun to mess with then blow the tree up and run the camera through the whole mess

Thats pretty cool looking. Are you going to turn it into an animated texture and use it in one of you programs?

well , I''ll probably do that but the problem is that i am beginner in game programming , however , I am learning now .
I am planning to make my own graphics , programming and music composing , and the missing part is programming .

anyway why do you want to make all jobs? isn''t it better to be a GRAPHICAN then doing everything, but poorly? Learning programming is relly a hard job and it takes YEARS to become a good one. It won''t happen in a week nor month nor year. I believe you would be much better off by increasing your skills as graphican and making something together with a friend-programmer.
