Where and how to freelance/outsource game trailer creation?

Today I started pulling together some clips for my game's trailer so I can finally get the Steam store up and running.

After about 6 hours of work I had a rough trailer. It's better than some trailers I've seen, but honestly it's not great-- the editing is sloppy, the capture quality inconsistent, there's zero polish and no textual information. I suspect that if I spent another 12 or 16 hours working on it I'd still have a mediocre trailer.

So my questions:

  1. Where do you find someone to make a game trailer? For artists I've posted on game-artists.net, for modelers on polycount, what's the equivalent forum for game trailer creators?
  2. What's the process? Do I give the editor a bunch of raw OBS footage, some text and a rough flow of what I'm looking for?

Thanks for any experience or advice!

If there's enough money, then you could try Creative Handbook. https://www.creativehandbook.com/  The Post-Production and Marketing sections look relevant to your needs.
