Illegal music?
I''m most likely going to get flamed for this.
But I just wanted to alert you that the leading demo by Mirko contains a MP3 with commercial music from "eRa" and Mr Eric Levi.
You can find information about them here: http://www.euronet.nl/users/ernstoud/era.html
Unless Mirko has the permission to distribute eRa''s songs, I suggest you finish this competition real fast and then wipe out the evidence.
Yes, I know it''s Era''s Ameno. I sad so in readme.txt.. so what. I know it''s ilegal.. if you dont like it delete it..

It could put you in real trouble. Era is distributed by Phillips/Polygram. That''s a damn powerful company with extremly good lawyers. It is very illegal, it doesn''t matter if you make money from it or not, but you distributed copyrighted material. You should pray, that they don''t hear anything about your demo. Otherwise, you''ll don''t have the slightest chance against them.

You bet they will

No. They could, but they won''t. *You* created the demo and initially infringed their copyright. That why they gonna sue you and not anyone else.
> ...whatever...
Could cost you several ten thousand dollars or even more. If that''s no problem for you - well then whatever...
Sorry, but someone who is intentionally distributing pirated music in a public domain demo must be the dumbest guy on the planet. It''s like asking for being sued by a multinational - stupidity at it''s extreme.

Actually, they''d probably name everyone involved in the suit. This would include Nehe and gamedev.net, since they are hosting a copy of the infringing work.

Oh, btw. if you live in the united states, this carries a $250,000 fine and possible jail time. Nothing to sneeze at.
