hi, it seems that livshitz demo zip file is corrupted , i can''t open it, however others demo zip file are ok !
another point is that some demo haven''t fot Some Vc++ project file ? it''s not a big pb but it will be more nice to see one
Excuse me too for multiple vote, i doesn''t know how it really works
about voting itself , i considere all aspect like configuration
setup facilities, sound, rythm, graphics aspect, stability, accord with them contest
excuse me again, and is so far the best contest i saw, very nice work all, and thanks to nehe and nehe_lover for this big and wonderful contest
perhaps if i can progress faster in opengl programming ( with this quality contest perhaps yes ), i could post some modest entrie for next contest , just for fun
that''s all
Thank-you But I can take no credit for this wicked contest at all(just a NeHe fan and his G/F) - Jeff (NeHe) and [SK]Slayer are the ones that deserve all the credit
Well, I finnaly got to check out all the demos, and they were all good (some better than others of course ). Unfortunately it seems that everyone''s favorite so far (CrystalTears) will not, run on my machine, and seeing as I don''t have access to a win2k/winXP system, I will not have a chance to see it, unless that ''bug'' is fixed So I had to choose between two that I thought were both really good.

They all unzip fine for me, try downloading it again.

Well, I''m among the masses who can''t run Mirko Teran''s Crystal Tears demo.

I''m looking at the source, and correct me if I''m wrong, but don''t the rules of NeHe''s contest state that the source supposed to contain a DSW file so that people can compile the source on their own?

I''d understand that this file wouldn''t be present if he wasn''t using VC++, but then he should include his make file for whatever compiler he''s using.

I''d like to take a stab at fixing the demo so that it works on Win9x/ME machines.

Thanks!

Not that it would be hard to put together a workspace and project for it with msvc.

I too am in this predicament but easily made the workspace for his source. Unfortunately I still cannot compile it as 2 #included files are missing glext.h and wglext.h, I emailed him about it hopefully he or someone on here can let me know where to get those files.

Are they specific to this project or standard extension files? I notice a couple of other entries have glext.h and they all seem to be different sizes leading me to think they are project specific or different versions.
They are standard extension files.

glext.h and wglext.h
