Tencent is refreshing its Tencent Games Platform, according to Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad, and may present the gaming world with its first true competitor to Steam. Ahmad translated a slide on the Tencent splash page indicating that WeGame will "support both Chinese and global users" through the store.
Looks like Tencent will rebrand its 'Tencent Games Platform' to 'WeGame'.

Tencent already has around 200 million users, while Steam has more than 125 million, and market research firms estimate that Tencent controls 13 percent of the entire games market.
