The new version of GameDev.net went online with known issues. If you come across something, please post in our new Support system at https://www.gamedev.net/support or through the Support item in the Profile menu.

This will help us manage the inflow of problems and track which ones are fixed as we continue to migrate the site to the new software and servers. Thanks!

Hello Khawk,

1.  I want my name (grumpyOldDude) back.  I cant, at the moment, find a way to reset that

2,  Quotes don't bear where they came from anymore, Not only is this a massive step backwards, it also has many huge disadvantages and negative implications to reply-responses -when other readers don't have a clue where quotes are coming from (or have to do lots of scroll&search to find where they are from). Even posters over short time might forget

3.  I can't even edit my post anymore, edit option is missing. Whats happening?

Anyway on point 2 , i tried to reset my display name to grumpyOldDude but I wasn't allowed

I found edit, but it seems if you don't edit within 2 or 3 minutes you loose the option to edit! Why is that? You can immediately see the implications now. I now have 3 posts that should be 1 single post

Why is there a timer on editing? What if its a complicated post that take a while for you to see the all edits necessary and  required? I don't really get this

So how do I login using Google services?..

Also, why repeat same mistake as the last time? Site uses only 50% of my monitor's width. It looks terrible.

It seems only posts before the upgrade are affected. New quotes show where are there from.

Could quotes in posts before upgrade be fixed to show where they are from?

Also the way some display names wraps round doesn't do justice to reading the name and looks a mess. Maybe smaller font or wider space would fix this

Google login isn't enabled yet. Been working on that but Google APIs haven't been playing nice. Hoping it starts working soon.

@grumpyOldDude Some settings are being tested, like edit period time.

Will need to look at the quotes problem for older posts.

Please report problems through the Support portal, per request. I'll gladly answer questions in the forum.

Regarding issues, one support entry per issue or can we combine? (Hint: I'm not sure you saw #3 in my first support request regarding the offset submenus)

Where have the DirectX/OpenGL specific forums gone?

Preferably one per entry. Easier to track.

See

Expectation is to use tags/prefixes for these types of forums. Backfilling the data as soon as possible.
