Trying to remember the name of a game.

I'm trying to remember the name of an RPG that I played maybe 10 years ago. Pretty insane, but here I am.
The camera angle of the game should be similar to Neverwinter Nights or Divinity -- it's looking down on you. It's a PC game, for sure. I played the game around 2004-2006, when I was fairly young, so I'm not really sure how accurate this is. Regardless, I included a map below that I drew from memory in Paint in 10 minutes... very impressive. I don't exactly remember what the goal of the game was, though I believe it has something to do with God, and that involves the flash -- I might just be mixing this with something else.

You start the game on a road; on a ledge. In the distance, you can see some sort of a monastery that, I believe, explodes in a bright flash? I could be making this up, I'm really not sure. Regardless, you continue down the hill, along the wavy road, and at the bottom there's a stone that you can use to fast travel to others stones, if I remember correctly. After the road turns, you come across a fallen tree that blocks the path, and some NPC (either some raider or merchant?). You go back and head north, through the plains where you encounter enemies that drop loot, and where you can open chests. Further north, there's a small bridge and to the right is another one of those stones. There might be undead here that you fight. To the left is the path to the monastery, and further down some sort of a swamp.

Turning back and following the road is the only way to progress, as I remember. The road that leads to behind the fallen tree is filled with enemies that you can run past or fight. They're very difficult, since there's a lot of them, though. Once you get through that, you reach a town with some quests and something, and I think I remember there being an escort quest going from the house to the right along to the other side of the town -- I believe it involves the house owner's daughter/son. Another stone is here, I believe. The north exit leads to a church/cathedral, and a big graveyard that's filled with undead.

It might all sound far-fetched or whatever, and I would definitely be amazed if someone would be able to help me out, though I doubt it. Again, this is all from memory -- it could all be correct 100%, or all completely wrong.

Thank you for your time, and any help is appreciated.

yes i know its bad but bear with me

EDIT: I faintly remember there being a snowy region that you can teleport to, after you finished the quests in the town. Also, I believe the item that you're searching for is connected to God, something holy -- for the undead, I'm guessing.

There might also be gargoyles or something of that sort at the monastery/castle place.

I'll throw out a guess.

2004-2006 puts it roughly in line with Sacred (the first one). The Seraphim class started out with a introduction similar to that. You might have picked that character because she was the most scantily clad class in the game.

Going through your list: That character starts out at a monastery on a hill, there is a town nearby, the game uses stone monuments for teleporters, the game progresses from fighting small critters through eventually fighting an undead army, and the name "sacred" has something to do with God as you recall the game having.

Unfortunately, I don't think that's it. Checked a few videos, and none of them looked similar to what I remember.

Sounds a lot like Silver, from Infogrames.

If not Silver, could it be titan quest or dungeon siege? I also vaguely recall a game with ties to northern mythology that could possibly fit in..

Neither Titan Quest or Dungeon Siege fit the description.

It seems none of those games are, unfortunately, it. I really appreciate that you're trying to guess, though. Thank you!

It depends a lot on how much you squint your eyes. Titan quest has lots of temples and villages at least, and is kindof about killing a god, at least with the expansion. Dungeon Siege had som custom maps and generally very varied terrain etc. Then again, apart from the fallen tree, you could almost squeeze Diablo in there somewhere..

Was it singleplayer? Did you control a single character or a party? What was combat like? Turnbased, semi-turnbased (like NWN) or "live"?

It was definitely singleplayer, and I'm sure you only controlled a single character. The fact that I remember running down that monster-filled road and pulling everything makes me certain it was "live", how you put it.

Do you remember anything about the HUD? Abilities you can use? How the inventory is presented? The items you start with? Classes or other character customisation? Was the art style similar to NWN and Divinity or just the camera angle?
