Getting music used commercially. (how?)
I have been writing music for several years now. The styles range from techno, trance, ambient, experimental, dnb, etc. - basically all types of dance music.
I would love to get some of my music into a commercial computer game but the trouble is I have no idea where to start.
I tried looking for companies like psygnosis on the net but to no avail ;-(
Does anyone have any URLs of developers who are looking for music? Or any tips for good ppl to approach? Or just some general advice? Should I for example send CDs or just email them my URL. And what about Money? How does that work? ;o)
Finally if any musician here has tried and succeeded (or failed) in this area I would like to hear your experience....
Thanks
Owen
BTW, I write in .IT format but can easily convert to MP3 or WAV, so file format is not an issue.

Have you tried licensemusic.com. They sell music licenses for games, movies, TV, etc... Maybe they have a section for submissions.
Thanks, I looked there but they''ve disabled submissions from unsigned artists due to "overwhelming" amount of submissions...
any other ideas?
