Hi all,

I couldn't find anywhere that said if images were allowed in signatures?

i've put one into mine (see below) as the forum allowed it, and i figured if it wasn't allowed i wouldn't be able to use one.

Can someone please confirm if this is allowed or not, if not i will correct my signature!

Thanks :)

I'm sure it's fine as long as it's not too big or obnoxiously animated. Yours looks pretty neat and low-profile smile.png

I've seen a few other users with image signatures. As long as it's not too obnoxious, it seems other users don't mind.

I think only one active user uses a medium-sized image. A few use small images.

It'd be really annoying if someone posted multiple times in a thread with the images taking up more space than their text. laugh.png

Sometimes I manually disable my signature on specific posts (in that post's text editor there's a checkbox to do that), but I rarely bother.

Yours look fine to me.

Servant pretty much sums it up above, yours looks fine but of course consider the sig-to-content ratio and the number of times you've used it in a thread.

If you had lots of one line replies all with the sig then someone might decide to turn it off on a few ;)
Just use good judgement basically smile.png

For me the sig-to-content ratio is the big one.

Most signatures have 2-3 lines of text. If your image is within that same size range, all is well.

You've got about 5 lines of height in your sig, which is a bit more than I personally prefer.

It's also worth mentioning that images in signatures are only unlocked for GDNet+ members (and any member group that inherits that, like Crossbones+ and moderators), so only a subset of users can use images in signatures. Leastwise, I think I recall it being a GDNet+ perk.

It's allowed, but I think yours is annoying. Not annoying enough to take moderator action of any sort, but enough to tell you so. I would mind less if you collapsed it so the link was floated right on the same line as the image.
