Hey guys, I have to write a review and upload it onto a site as part of one of my university assessments. Does anyone know any sites besides metacritic (my review was too long for it) that allow users to upload their own reviews. Been trawling through various sites for quite a while, but all of them seem to have you send them a review to be processed on a chance of having it put on their site.

What I'm looking for is a site that allows you to simply upload your own review. I'd greatly appreciate the help.

If, at any point, what I post is hard to understand, tell me. I am bad at projecting my thoughts into real words, so I appreciate the knowledge that I need to edit my post.

I am not a professional writer, nor a professional game designer. Please, understand that everything you read is simply an opinion of mind and should not, at any point in time, be taken as a credible answer unless validated by others.

Does it have to be a written review that is published?

Edit: Also if this is a game that is published i.e. under Steam or similar platform -- a number of them do have the capacity to upload reviews.

Does the assignment require that the site be an actual review site? For example, could you simply upload it to your personal blog?

You can upload a review to the Steam Game Review page for any game you own on Steam.

I believe that the same is true of GOG.com, but I think that there may be a limit on review-length there.

Shifty, have you asked your professor for names of sites you can post on? Or is it part of your assignment to get creative and find one on your own?

Sorry it took so long to respond.

I have indeed asked, and I was given metacritic as a review site. However the subject I'm doing is critical thinking, and my teacher doesn't have much of a grasp on gaming so I can't get more help then that from her.

also, yes it has to be a written review. I don't believe the review has to necessarily be uploaded on an official review site, additionally I need to follow APA format referencing and provide a link to where my review is, so anything like steam with its format wouldn't work.

I don't have a personal blog unfortunately, but I could go halfway and upload it onto a gaming forum in some form of general discussion perhaps?

You should be able to set up a journal on this site, being a member: while logged in, look at the top-left of a GameDev.net page (I'm not sure of whether it applies to all pages, but it should apply to this forum one). You should see your name; click on that, and from the menu that should appear select "manage journals". I think that you should have the option to create a journal from there, after which you should be able to add an entry containing your review.

thanks! I had to fiddle for a little it but there is indeed a journal feature on here, and I have got it sorted out. Thank you to everyone who helped me out :)
