What were other teams doing that you thought were cool?

Orymus3's -Delivery was probably my favorite game. The difficulty ramp up was perfect, and one heck of a challenge. And it merged the story line so effortlessly into the game.

The artwork in a lot of these games were superb. From pixel art (like JackOatley's - Mindfield) right down to awesome 3D animated models (like Mussi's - Diorma or Slaughterhouse Gaming's - Harvest). A level of quality you could expect in fully realized projects.

I'm still playing through all of the games, I've gotten through about half of them so far.

Soo... When does the competition start? I can't wait to get started with my team of 3!

/sucks-air-through-teeth.... Awkward.... :)

I'm rather enjoying reading through the various post-mortems that are trickling out. ^_^

Having already written my own, I find that in reading those of others I keep encountering or being prompted to think of topics that I might have mentioned--music and the creation of sound effects and art, for a few examples.

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I've grown a lot more from this experience than I initially would, and upon playing others' games, I grow even more.

I was really looking forward for that showdown moment where I get to play how other minds tackled the same "problem" (the theme) and how patterns differed.

It's much more than mere "how did I do compared to them". It teaches me a lot about finding "the fun".

Post-mortems are also very interesting.

Oftentimes, I feel we've hit similar issues, which gives me a feeling that I'm not alone struggling with certain issues. Other times, we drastically differ, and that's just as interesting to read as I try to imagine how that could've applied to my situation, etc.

You'll see that once I unveil my ratings ;)

I feel in a unique privileged position having taken part in this, and now being able to step back a bit. Very tough, but definitely worth it!

postmortem incoming

I've only just discovered this after-party thread! (We should cross link all these threads, or have a hub)

Sigh! Stuck on Save my Toys sacrifice level sad.png Use all the pieces just to get the key. Must think more creatively!

Haha - there is a solution I promise!

I'm considering publishing my intended solutions to each level - I don't really have a good handle on whether people found them easy or hard though? If everybody found them easy then there's little point in it.

I'd love to see how other people solved levels though! If anybody has the inclination to grab some screenshots that is.

I would bet there are simpler-than-intended solutions to some levels - I tried my best to squash any that I found, but the potential solution-space can be quite large at times.
