in the very early stage of game development where would you suggest to go?

i was thinking eventually crowdfunding but first i think its best to seek opinions and spread the word, but its too early for a demo or similar.

so, any suggestion to try and make ppl play the game in a very early stage and see if they like it?

Here?

I know TIGSource has also a similar forum thread.

well while i love this site i think its targetting more devs and industry workers than normal players

ill give it a go but id like something more focused on actual players

Are you looking for numbers (a lot of players test your game and comment on it) or very specific video caps in realtime of first time players?

(Both of these services exist).

Yeah definitely http://forums.tigsource.com/

Create a devlog and start posting your progress. This will also give you a good idea of whether your game is interesting to others!

well can you elaborate?

i dont necessarly need great numbers(even though they wouldnt hurt)

Well, you could technically deal with a pool of users that would give you feedback. This is especially good to test behaviors at large, bugs, etc.

Having someone send you an actual video of what they do precisely generally gives you a good idea of whether your FTUE works (first-time user experience).

yes but who would bother to take a video ?

There are services for that. I think that for 20 USD, they offer you a 1 hour walkthrough of your game.

Google it, there's more than one organization doing that.
