This is conveniently timed with my Mother's birthday. I don't know if it's shameful to say something too Australian, but. It would of been lovely to have them during grand-final we were without chocolate popcorn then. Also, is buying this Chocorn going to help the Indie game scene in Vic?

Garth and I are currently looking for office-space in Melbourne, so his chocorn prize money might help pay to set up this studio ;)
We also rely on a lot of short-term contractors (when we can afford them), and hopefully in the long run we'll create more local jobs.

The GDAA (and Big Ant) are currently setting up an office that will be sub-let to many small indie teams, so maybe we'll end up renting space from the GDAA, which in turn funds the local industry body :)

P.s. Cadbury actually beat woollies to market with a plain chocolate-popcorn product a few months back (slightly cheaper, but no flavour varieties or spices), so you could've had it for the grand finals as good party food ;)

Is it a new thing in Australia? Chocolate coated popcorn has been around in NZ for years.

As to the Chocorn, I've been back to the QV store several more times, and I've still never seen it there.

Sorry to necro, but I figure it's better than starting a new thread.

Last night was the final, and Garth was lucky enough to take out the top prize! biggrin.png
So now as well as being my business partner / creative director and a games outsourcing manager, he's now also a chocolatier entrepreneur!
And most importantly, my game will be partly funded by chocolate sales wink.png

We ended up moving into the GDAA-run office building last week too! So chocorn may indirectly be funding the GDAA and creating jobs in Melbourne biggrin.png

Here's Garth's desk and mine:

There's always been the stuff that looks like this or this. Garth's chocorn is more like a chocolate truffle with a popcorn centre: http://i.imgur.com/8VSdP1R.jpg

That's great news. When does it go into production? I never did see any at my local Woolworths

P.S. The GDAA building is only about 2 1/2 blocks away from where I work (in Federation Square).
