I would like to know what music do you like to listen the most, an listen a lot.

Maybe I will try and find something for me. Besides I am interesting in knowing many performers a lot, and I like to know bands/ performers..

[edited & expanded->]

As to myself I see myself as a somewhat alternative music person (maybe not too much but still, (feel much better with such things like sonic youth than this terrible pop))

[rock] like grunge and postgrunge, like Beck a lot, recently listen to Foo Fighters (I consider them quite ok band), Godsmack band is very good...(slow... and he..a..vy..)

[hh] I also like energetic hip-hop bands, BustaRhymes is imo a h-hop king really (mad), (recently also listenin much to oldschool Tribe Called Quest with much fun); (though probably i would go more into listening to rock than to hh later)

English people related to electronics (like fatboyslim/ brian eno... etc) are probably still good music makers.

I try to know more rapcore music which as a blend of rap and heavy metal seem very promising to me though maybe many bands there are still to raw

[jazz] Also tried to listen an Ornette Coleman (free jazz) recently, which seem to be interesting ...

I do not know, maybe this topic is not apropriate, but if you are deep into some performer of any musical genre, tell me..

99% of the time I do not listen to any music, believe it or not.

When I do happen too be playing something, it is usually pre 1990's rock or alternative.

Sometimes I do listen to industrial rock, and techno, but not often.

I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me.

Frank Zappa lately. Tons of crap but there are some gems too, like

Apart from that, various bands from various styles but almost only entire albums (and never "best of" shit).

Some metal:

Dream pop:

progressive stuff

Beach Boys, Kraftwerk, and Bach is where it is at.

Stay gold, Pony Boy.

I play Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky.

I listen to They Might Be Giants.

I listen to a lot of music, in at least three different languages, but I'm assuming you're interested in stuff in English. I listen to mostly rap artists (at least for English music), my favorites being Immortal Technique, Common, 2Pac, occasionally Snoop Dogg, Dead Prez, and J Cole.

The Sisters of Mercy will always be my favourite band. Although I don't listen to them so much these days, I've lost count of how many times I've seen them live, and while sometimes they suck I've never failed to have fun.

Spiritualized -

- represent the other side of my tastes; another band that are always worth seeing live even if their drift into MORish territory on recent LPs doesn't appeal so much. Check out this surreal interview that Aidan Gillen (Littlefinger from Game of Thrones) does with a very wasted-looking Jason Pierce:

Lately I've been getting more interested in some classic old school Iron Maiden - Paul Di'Anno era - a happily re-appreciated gem from my youth:

Lots and lots of late 70s/early 80s post-punk is the regular diet

Bush Tetras:

UK Decay:

PiL:

Killing Joke:

Plus some wild cards...

Hawkwind:

Yeah, I've varied (and cool) tastes. smile.png
