Does anyone know where i can pick myself up a open source linux at? I''m a little, i mean very, short on money right now and i need to get linux because i don''t like windows and i want something better. If you know of a good place email me at Boone188@aol.com (i also want to get rid of AOL)
Some game programmers are good and some are lame. I fit in the lame catagory...That''s why I''m an extreme go-peder and a hacker, because i''m good at those things.

You can download linux all over the place. I suggest you get Linux-Mandrake if you''re a newbie to linux. It will allow you to perform a network install if you are on a network, but not over telephone modem. You can check out Linux-Mandrake at http://www.linux-mandrake.com

NOTE: Linux-Mandrake requires a pentium or higher. If you have a 386, or 486 you should get RedHat from http://www.redhat.com

Email me at jeyk@home.com if you have any questions.

Linuxberg (www.linuxberg.com) has plenty of .iso images of Linux distributions. You might also like to visit www.cheapbytes.com which sells cheap Linux CDs for a couple of US dollars.

I would recomend Phat Linux. You can go to www.phatlinux.com and download it for free. It''s a 181 meg download but with Getright or a similar resuming program you should get it downloaded. Phat Linux comes with X windows and installs from Windows. It even shares a hard drive without making a new partion.
