Look at sales numebers, FIFA Wii doesn't look like it has many customers. Compare the 0.7M Wii customers to the combined 10.4M on PS3 and X360 (which can share assets).
Would you invest much of your money in something that will only see 0.7M sales, or would you spend it on the 10.4M sales

Doesn't mean u can falsely sell the same product again under a new name. If it wasn't profitable why fool the consumers, dont make it. Period

They added new players, retired old players, updated the rosters, updated the stats, and updated the uniforms. They updated the box art. Did you honestly expect more?

Were you expecting new game objects, perhaps additional types of balls? Were you expecting some weapons? I kind of think that would be awesome but destroy the FIFA franchise.

I have seen nothing at all to suggest EA is "throwing a tantrum at Nintendo". All I have read on this thread from you is that you have some apparent grief for buying a Wii-U and not getting the games that you want. This is a risk with being an early adopter. Most people wait to see what games are coming out, and then make the purchase based on that content.

Can't just be EA. I caught the Tube this morning and on the platfrom there was a 10 foot high poster for the new Star Trek into darkness game (Namco Bandai I think). Across the bottem it listed all the platforms it is available on. Every platform except Nintendo. Now these movie tie ins are usually shovelled out to every platform but, even they are avoiding nintendo.

As far as I know we have no plans to release another WiiU game, and the one we've got coming out was a bit touch and go as well- the game was practically done, required some changes from the PS3/PC/360 version to make it work but the question was for the return on sales was it worth the marketing money to get the thing onto shelves.

Going forward our new renderer doesn't even support the WiiU hardware (nor the PS3/X360, that is being served by a legacy code base and will be phased out of production use by the middle of next year) and we have no plans to.

It also doesn't help that, compared to the other consoles, Nindendo's dev tools are pretty rubbish.. I honestly still don't know if they have a GPU debugger in existance...

Today, at the Stifel Nicolaus 2013 Internet, Media and Communications Conference, EA’s chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen, revealed that EA is developing video games for the Wii U – but it apparently has more plans for unreleased consoles the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Jorgensen’s statement refutes the comment made last week by EA spokesperson Jeff Brown, who claimed that the company has “no games in development for the Wii U currently.”

“You know I will ultimately let consumers vote on PS vs. Xbox. You know I think Nintendo’s business was more of an extension of their last console. We are building titles for the Nintendo consoles, but not anywhere near as many as we are for PS or Xbox. You know, what I think the consumer will find is a lot more powerful gameplay with the new boxes that are coming out, and a lot of excitement, but it will remain to be seen as to the services associated with those how the consumers decide which direction they want to go.”
