Haha thanks Ollie, actually the problem with that track was the wobble was too filthy, it was meant to be more of an 'ambient' wobble but I lost patience!
Methropoly - I don't know what you mean by old-fashioned sounds... there's a tape recorded accordion (no idea where I found the samples), some 8-bit noises courtesy of tweakbench, other than that everything is the standard kontakt library fare.
Python - "not that bad at all" - what a complement! Haha, yep I'm still working on realistic string programming but I've found that focussing too much on the realism side of things tends to stop me from coming up with new ideas and developing them into longer pieces. Compression is a matter of taste I suppose, I try to use as few effects as subtly as possible while I'm composing so that I can mess with things once all the ideas are down (all those tracks are unfinished). I'm classically trained so I guess I'm more accustomed to wider variations in volume. By the way I had an explore round your Bandcamp page - love the soundscapes you've created.
