Grandparents and Technology
Love my grandmother but I think it'd be better If she didn't know about this technology. Lol I'm just kidding
Anyone else have stories like this about their grandparents coming to grips with technology?
my grandfather tries, but fails horribly. i keep trying to tell him that pushing a button isn't going to destroy the computer, and well alert him if he's about to do anything detrimental, but he'll instead just sit their and call someone if he doesn't know exactly how to do something instead of trying to figure it out.

I do know that feeling. She's not good at them at all but she isn't afraid to try to get something to work. Though sometimes I wish she was. She downloads so many different virus scanners on her computer. If it takes one hickup then she freaks out and downloads a new virus scanner that in the end it makes the computer even slower. So if I am over there it causes me to delete them all again. lol.
It did take us a little bit to show her that the iPad's touch screen goes off the heat of your finger and is not pressure sensitive. Her first couple times to use it we almost freaked out hearing her finger beat against the screen.
Oddly, I'm having similar problems with my parents!
