I have like 2K USD of Lego Technic probably. Just a giant bin of them. Can't name off all of them, but if you can think of it I probably own it. Every Christmas or birthday all I asked for was Lego. smile.png My brother got me a Star Wars set for my birthday and I made this after the default build using all the pieces.

I usually used all my Lego and built weapons like artillery platforms with motors and attacked card towers.

Oh yeah!

I build rubberband powered handguns that shot one of those black axises...
Lots of deep marks in the books in the bookshelf :)
Did break a few pieces when I made it too powerful though...

I was lucky I didn't take someones (or my own) eye out.

Oh man, I have more lego than I would like to admit. I measure it in how many bins I can fill, about 5.
I used to have two huge boxes of legos. Still remember the times I would spend fifteen minutes with my hands digging in the corners looking for a square block smile.png

Don't have them anymore though, besides it was just random pieces - I never got any actual "sets". I built random crap with them like planes, houses, etc... fun times.

(used to try and include actual water in my constructions, god that was messy - I didn't understand why it leaked, lol)

“If I understand the standard right it is legal and safe to do this but the resulting value could be anything.”

I have a box of legos but I haven't touched them in ages. I used to dump them out on the floor into a big pile, and then me and my brother would take turns picking a lego peice at a time. Then, we'd assemble the lego peices into lego bases and create lego space ships, lego ICBM's, space cannons, laser guns, etc. Then, we'd have a lego war. My lego army against yours! There really weren't any rules, you just had to say what your lego contraption is able to do and what its doing, and make it sound semi-plausible.
"My lego base launches three ICBM's at yours! here they are, in flight, about to destroy your base to smithereens!"
"Oh yeah? Well I've got a shielding device which blocks your missiles from hitting my base! I send a cruiser to attack your base now, and it shoots off a blast with its blinders!"
"Ack! I my pilot is blinded and crashes into a mountain side!!!" (simulates crash and breaks the lego ship into peices)

...and this goes on for hours. It's great fun, sort of like Calvin Ball :) Laser guns! pew pew pew!
I had to get my lego collection valued because the house insurance company insisted. The valuation at the time was for 25k and it's been added to (a LOT) since then...

And it's all sorted into storage boxes, so when I want to build things, I can find the bits...
