complete series of tutorials ?!?!
Hello ,
I am writeing this post only for asking whay there isn''t any finished series of articles on game programing out there( on www( or closely gamedev) ) ??? I know that a series of articles
( with source code well organised and leading to a basic but very functional workframe ) would resemble more with a good game programing book , BUT for peoples that do not have the posibility to by books ( like me ) this would be actualy a very good ideea.
Teej''s interactive tutorial was great BUT sadly he ( becouse unknown reasons ) haven''t finished it.
And in the begining of every series I read that " this articles will guid you truh the basics of every aspect in Game programing..etc " but usualy "every aspect" stops after declaring and initialising a window and DDraw ,Dinput , and if I am luky DSound, and usualy all that in a single file , and so , with no encapsulation nor good solid ( workframe like )organisation.
And realy, there isn''t anybody that out there that could FINISH what he is promising in the Introduction of his ( her) article???
Hope there is

Peace and happy coding
They do it for free. If you want consistency or committments from them, pay them .
Hmmm , I know that they are doing it for free , but ,just the fact that they are actualy thinking of writeing these articles is meaning that not the money are scope. Generly all those programers have good ( and well payed ) jobs ( I think ), and
beside that , I thout that this is all GameDev was about: interaction and free excange of ideeas . And that way GameDev ( and a few other sites) are so valuble to newbes like me that do not have other means to learn programing games in a good way.
So it must be another answer to my question....
And call me a dreamer but I think that money aren''t everything.

You don''t get it. They would like to be able to devote their time to programming demos and writing tutorials, but they have real world concerns, have responsibilities to family and jobs and so on. If you''d like them to be able to devote more time and energy to their tutorials, find a way to either remove or reduce the other pressures. Since you can''t get rid of their families (and you don''t want to), the only thing you can do is remove their other jobs. But that means they need a source of income, so...
Pay them.
No? Then welcome to the real world and don''t complain.
